My Little Fantasy

I've always had this dream of having a store/boutique with this extravagant windows, that had live models doing normal (to them) everyday activities, such as writing an article for Vogue (Italia preferably, lol), draping an evening gown on a dress form, or just being her stunning self in her own space. Anyone ever seen the movie 'Mannequin'? Something like tht...but so much better

If only...

There are people like this that really exist...they parade around in the
flyest gear and people admire them.

This is Ona Saez's F/W 2008 ad campaign

Spreadin That Love [Literally]

When I was walking my beagle Hendrix yesterday morning, one of my neighbors decided that she was gonna sell her 3 month old puppy (breed not yet known) for 20 bucks (ridiculous right?) She was very clear that she wanted to get rid of him by the end of the day. I did my good deed by sending out a blast text message. So even though I got somewhat attached to the little guy...I gave him a good home. His name is [now] Dutch (so sexy).

R.I.P: RedExpress

In loving memory of my red cashmere sweater that was brutally eaten by my English Beagle Hendrix.

Spread Love

Its MLK day and I didn't go to a [traditional] parade, Ceremony of
Remembrance, or a BBQ (at some park where a bunch of "new breeds dwell",
::: wink wink ::: ). Rather, I spent the morning shopping with my moms
at our usual spots (emphasis on "OUR", because they're the only
brands/stores that we both can agree on);

10:02 A.M Michael Kors,
10:47 A.M Barney's CO-OP,
11:30 A.M (on the dot) J.Crew
12:12 P.M Forever 21 (for me obviously)
12:53 P.M Tommy Hilfiger Specialty Outlet
1:48 P.M Tommy Hilfiger Flagship (6th & Collins)
After spending most of our life savings I, later, took her to see the
work I'd done at the store (there's nothing more fulfilling than a proud
mother...'nuff said).

3:11 P.M The Webster (of course just to browse, we're not "there" yet)

3:48 P.M Chino's Pizza on 7th & Washington (probably the best pizza to
have on south beach)

To top of the entire day of mother-son quality time... I saw this
message finger-written in the concrete (if you're WONDERing, it reads
"Happy Say Peace" which to me can be interpreted in many ways)...

Today was a good day.

Thoughts of Royalty

We all miss her, but I still adore thoughts of how stunning she was (and still is in my head). This photo was taken for Vogue in 1980. Does our generation have a Princess Diana?

Vinny The Serpent

The Art Deco came to Miami this weekend...and even though I only got to
experience one day of it...I was still pleased with the [Authentic]
snakeskin framed shades I found at the Vintage Eyewear Shop. There so code error! CURSE MY
EXPENSIVE SPIRIT!

(And just in case you may be WONDERing....Vinny- a word used to refer to any article of clothing or accessory that may be vintage)

Oh So Good [for me]

You may not know it, but I am a HUGE music freak (in every sense of the phrase). I may not be able to play any of the instruments (other than my terrible voice) but I totally have the highest hopes. Once I master
[learning to play] the acoustic guitar, this sleek black Chanel guitar (retailing for $5,600) will be the first one I own. It sorta makes me happy that Karl is thinking of those living an ACTUAL lifestyle. Now all I need to see is Lauryn Hill perform with it and I'm set (for life)

No Jokes

Theres no better Joker than Jack Nicholson. He was so damn cool and fun as a villan. I almost wanted to be him just cuz he got to dress kinda funky and make folks laugh till they died (lol it's terrible I know). And dont even let me tell you how much I adored the fact that he had an entourage of freaks. But what I think is cooler.. is the music.

They've Done IT [yet] Again

Fashion156 has managed to catch my attention yet again with the latest Sportswear issue. They've showcased designers like Tim Ryan, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Alexander Mcqueen (and so much more), in this particular spread. Funny, because seeing this issue, brings back my constant desires (when I was younger) to have a stylish twin (or at least a few clones, lol)

Not The Average Jo

You've mostly likely heard (or seen) me speak of one of my fellow fashion colleagues (and friend) Joana Marquez (aka Jo). And let me tell you...you will definitely grow to love this chick. Her and I spent the day today (working) and talking about future endeavors like conquering contacts, and maybe even the industry (and such). But anyway... Look out for more posts about Jo.

Stay Fresh

Black on Black Shine

I know I said more wallets in 2009... and I'm standing by it. Dior Homme is coming home with me.

Furious George

I've seen this funny (but oh so fresh) 'painting' on Biscayne and circa 79th everyday for the past 2 weeks...and finally decided tht I want it on a tee (or some kicks). Who's with me?

Natural High

Okay..its definitely official...I'm going tribal for the Spring. First YSL set my soul on fire with the hi-top moccasin (available at The Webster) ...AND NOW GUCCI!!

Just Bury Me...

Honesty is always the best policy (they say), and to be honest and a
little frank the Puma 917 Mid-Factory is a bit "crayola for the
elderly"...BUT I know if I literally put my creative mind to test these
"mid-tops"... then I wouldn't have an issue liking (or maybe even
loving) them AFTER they're on my feet.

Keep Fresh

My iPod and Me [Tucked Away]

When I decided to re-buy my ipod and fill up with all my new music...this 'Want Les Essentials' leather iPod case will be the only way for me to carry it around. This is a classic hard case leather iPod holder in black. A chrome gate holds your 160G iPod in place while a slot opposite can hold business cards. Sick right?

Stand!

I may not be a real artist..but I sure like to pretend. I did these photos of the Little Rock Nine late last year (2008)...I need to hang 'em up somewhere. No?

No Spotlight...

Hard day at work, all I wanted to do was get home to my bed and read Bazaar's Februsary issue (read tomorrow's post). But I happened to get stopped by a police officer who told me I was tailgating, improperly changing lanes WITH my high beams on. So of course, he was nice enough to just give me a 30 minute lecture and no ticket (which would've cost me $700).

Reasons such as these only push me to move to a planet where I can just
take a subway/tube
.

Take My Picture!

The Colorsplash camera will re-cast your world in a gorgeous riot of color. Its patented colorwheel system puts several tinted flash filters at your finger tips for instant selection; with an additional 9 filters included to exchange. Long exposure capability creates dreamy streaked backgrounds behind crisp, color-flashed foregrounds. I will say that I will be taking a million and one photos in 2009 (lol).

Yes! We're Open!

Zuriik. Zuriik. ZURIIK! I can't (and probably won't) even stress it
enough! I visited the website ( http://zuriick.bigcartel.com/ ) last
night after work and was FLOORED by the product AND the pricing (all
shoes are under $100) can we all say Incredible? Sadly I've already
made a large purchase in the last 6 minutes.
