UnRated

A couple weeks ago, London based designer, Marina Milosevska caught my eye with her flare for modern-wear. It's clear that her work is for the everyday woman who loathes items like the basic trouser or blouse. Quite frankly, I find those women to be simply f'amazing!

I Hope You're Happy!

It's so good to see that the concept of gunge will never die amongts the relm of fashion photographers. Model Marina Jamieson posed for photographer, Ferrater and NEO2 magazine and quite frankly, the result is almost orgasmic. I think my favorite, is shot #1.

The Sound...

I happen to think that Diane von Furstenberg is a woman who know exaclty what her breed wants. This chain linked metallic leather handbag would be almost perfect for your local socialite.

Fried Deep!

Last night, I had the pleasure of introducing photographer and friend, Curtis Bryant to women's wear designer, Ellie Owen and it was just the most exhillerating meeting of the minds to say the least. We enjoyed deep fried oreos from Cafeteria, drinks, and a lasting discussion about our upcoming projects in which I believe there's no better dream.

Great things will happen in 2010

Calling All Creators!

I now happen to be a big fan of accessory designer Riccardo Goti and his work which rings the sound of innovation and attention. This handmade leather and silver bracelet would be with a casual look or even an increibly trendy one.

More from the Burberry Camp... Little Emma Watson is all grown up and no longer studying magic.

Love Interest: DVCOU2RE

Since Lady Gaga has hit the screen, it almost seems as though designers across the globe have been using her as a muse to carry them along to success. It's not too often that you see a well executed piece that looks like it belongs in Lady G's wardrobe. Since I've discovered DVCOU2RE, the innovative brand stationed in Mexico City, I've had no choice but to see the extravagant art in what they do. Wearable for some.... appreciated by many. Trendsetters of the city, beware!!

Lohan Stoops Lower

Lindsay Lohan, fresh off of that strange and desperate collection she co-designed for Emanuel Ungaro (click here to see the damage), is diving deep into the development of her own label 6126.

From the look of this interesting photo found over at popbee.com she's also been diving deep into another designer's portfolio as well... (the sketch is of a piece slated for 6126, the dress on both Lohan and the Model is by Jen Kao, Fall 2009)

Lohan's people say it's merely coincidence... but seriously? Maaaybe if it was just a little black dress, I could've believed that, but there's no way you can knock off a dress featuring a bold and unique geometric pattern front and center and call it coincidence.

Hopefully CFDA President Diane Von Furstenberg and Anna Wintour, who both have been lobbying legislation condemning such copycat activities like this, cry foul and send Lohan and others, especially washed-up celebrities stealing from up-and-coming designers, a message that this will not be tolerated.

Emma Watson for Burberry

Emma Watson (of Harry Potter fame) is a new face for Burberry and all of their in-house divisions (Prorsum, Sport, Brit, etc.).

The photos by Mario Testino are a great entry for the gracefully aging young beauty to declare her final descent (or ascent rather) into womanhood.

Each image oozes that simple, effortless British chic the brand is known for... which keeps it priced well out of my reach!!

Oh well... a guy can dream. ;-)

K.K. for Dior

One of my favorite new Supers and 17-Year Old Bombshell Karlie Kloss is the face of Dior for Spring this year.

I for one am blown away at how a high school age girl is singlehandedly bringing GLAMOUR (goodbye "sexy") back in style.

Take note: Class(iness) is back in session kids.

Deelish.

Pockets Full

Is it me, or does this graffiti necklace read "Lanvin"? Of course it does since Lanvin's designer Claudio Antonioli had his hands in the cookie jar. There's no doubt in my mind that I'd be good friends with the wearer of this fine piece.

Air I Breathe

Even though I sometimes bash those who participate in the act of public displays of affection... I happen to be a firm believer in Love and Fate. Yesterday I had a meeting with young icon and entreprenuer, Ashley Leblanc that simply set my soul to an inspirational flame. To complete the entourage were photographers Anthony Paige and Curtis Bryant, innovators Devohn Walker, Tyreak, Sweets, Kamyll Edwards, and Jonathan Mejia. I'm not yet able to say what's about to happen next... but I assure you that it's going to be phenomenal!

Happy New Size!

Just in time for all of those women out there who have set their 2010 weight-loss resolutions, more photos from V Magazine's Size Issue, an all-body-types answer to Vogue Italia's ultra famous Black Issue, have hit the webwaves over at models.com.

The issue will hit newstands on January 14th and is subtly positioning itself as a collector's piece (as if all V Magazine issues aren't collector's items in their own right anyway). It's definitely poised to shake the fashion landscape as we know it for 2010 and beyond.

Not sure about you guys, but I'm thoroughly excited about fashion editors, photographers and other creative minds around the world coming together to rip the seams of our favorite but often stoic, pro-skinny, pro-white past time.

To put these revolutions in perspective, just think... if there were never similar revolutions in the dance world for example, we may never have seen an Alvin Ailey or a Bob Fosse which would have canceled out a significant portion of Beyonce's most memorable choreography throughout her career.

Ultimately, I believe some of the most beautiful creations our world has to offer arise from nature and beauty itself breaking free from the chains and cages man attempts to enslave them with. It's exciting to watch it unfold.

I'll keep you all posted on any other sneak peeks from the issue.
