Dance With Me

I love shoes, there's no escaping it! Whether they're dress shoes, kicks, boots, high tops, tennis shoes, I mean.... I dig 'em all (except for the flip flop...that's just something I refuse to encourage). Spanish artist/designer, Jaime Hayon stands firm in the belief that one's shoes are a fundamental aspect in creating their personality. Sounds perfect, right?

Hayon paired up with Camper Shoes and designed a WONDERful collection inspired by the art of dancing, and I couldn't be more impressed. Sometimes we all want a solid dress shoe that's versatile enough to be casual when when want it to be, and smart when we need it to be. "I wanted to find a form that stylized the foot," says Hayon, "I wanted to make a simple shoe but one that had character, in solid colours but that were special enough to give identity to a way of dressing." I'm glad someone like Jaime Hayon understands the purpose of designing footwear.
